A calm, minimal notes app on your Mac.

A calm, minimal notes app on your Mac.
JotLine is a minimal notes app that lives in your Mac's menu bar. No folders, no formatting tools, no clutter — press a key, type, and it's saved as a clean, scrollable timeline. One calm timeline Newest notes on top, grouped by natural day, with infinite scroll back through your history. A single column — everything a thought needs, nothing it doesn't. Reminders in plain language Type "tomorrow 9am pick up Mom at the airport" and press Return — it becomes a system notification. JotLine understands 13 languages automatically: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and more. No syntax to learn. Type to search There's no separate search box — just start typing in the composer and the timeline filters instantly. Matches glow amber, dates and amounts turn green, #tags turn blue. #Tags, suggested Type # and JotLine suggests tags you already use. Arrow keys or Enter to complete — or keep typing to create a new one. Rename, merge, or delete tags everywhere at once. Quote & reply Double-click any note to quote it. Replies keep a snapshot of the original, and you can jump back and forth between a reply and the note it quotes — context never lost. Links & files Paste a URL on its own line and it becomes a link note; type a local path and JotLine lets you open the file or folder right from the timeline. Delete without fear Deleting moves notes to a trash grouped by day, with one-click restore. Only emptying the trash is permanent. Light & dark, automatically JotLine follows your Mac's appearance — dark for late-night jotting, light for bright days. 100% offline, private by design Notes live only on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no analytics — nothing reads your data. JotLine is a one-time purchase with no subscription. Press ⌃⌥Space anywhere to open it and jot a thought.
